Emma Watson possible nudity in movie Colonia - screencaps from trailer

She said it herself, repeatedly, as soon as the Potter movies ended. She said she'd already well and truly succeeded with big blockbuster movies and now wanted to take a few years to do interesting roles in smaller films and stretch and grow as an actress, which she did, with a flawless American accent in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," an extraordinary character stretch in "The Bling Ring" (which included doing another, very specific accent, which she did even more flawlessly,) playing a pregnancy and birth in "Noah..."

She's 25 years old, and has a whole career ahead of her in which she wants to do actual good, solid work and not suck. She's well on her way.

 

Tonight is the pre-premiere of regression isn't it? Hopefully we hear something about her role and possibly nude scene (maybe the scene is cut out the movie?).

 

you are switching your goals quite deliberately.
First, your measure of success is income.
Then, it's the IMDb ranking.
Then, your opinion of her acting.
Then, your opinion of her acting in a role which (even you admit) didn't matter.

when you are trying to be a smartass about someones success, pick a unit of measurement and stick with it, otherwise it's gonna look like you don't know much about movies

the reason I picked the different metrics I used is to show that Emma's career since Potter has indeed been a balanced success - financially, critically, academically, and more importantly for me - I've personally enjoyed her movies, and watching her act!

Emma has a ton of money already. If she wants to win awards, they're not gonna come from comic book or YA novel adaptations. (That said, I doubt she'd explicitly reject any such role, she just doesn't need to seek them out).

I think there was a general feeling that she should have been in *more* of This is the End. I know it bothered me that she didn't show up again when they went out into the city, even for a quick joke. A missed opportunity.

I think it's safe to have faith that nude or semi-nude caps of THE Emma Watson would not stay buried on page 6+ of a celeb-extra post for more than about 12 seconds

 

Well, I'm still waiting for content. There's amazingly little new info.

 

I don't think she's going nude in the film :S Otherwise there should be paid attention in the media last days after the world premiere.. But I still hope i'm wrong!

 

Νot even one of those movies is worth seeing...ever again!They are second rate movies!
If she ever gets naked it will be in a horrible movie that will win the Golden Phoenix....which means you and the rest of us wont go to a movie to watch!

 

Well, you're certainly welcome to like or dislike the movies you do, but there are a hell of a lot of people who disagree with you.

I have high school and college age nieces and nephews, and The Perks of Being A Wallflower is huge with that crowd -- multiple theater viewings when it came out, and owning DVDs/Blu-Rays.

The Bling Ring is a critical darling, This Is The End was hugely popular with the "slob-comedy" crowd, and even Noah got excellent reviews, for all that the idiot wing of the religious right hated it for not being the version of the story they got in nursery school.

She's still hugely popular and hugely in demand, sought after by movie studios, producers and directors.

Hate all you want, but don't kid yourself. You're in a lonely minority.

Like haydaddict said, all those listed movies are trash. The perks of being a wallflower is a glorified straight-to-dvd movie. The Bling ring failed at the box office. Emma had a cameo role in this is the end. She wasn't even the lead in NOAH. Basically, Emma watson has been a glorified extra in most cases. The one movie in which she wasn't is Bling ring and that failed hared at the box office.

As for her age, at 25, for a female star coming off the greatly successful potter movies, she should be already at her peak right now doing blockbusters. She's clearly not. She's not getting any bigger or popular as a star than she already is.

Let's face it, if you can't hack it big after harry freaking potter movies, then you're never going do it. Emma's popularity is largely Internet oriented. In the Hollywood world, she is not much of a star.

 

I suppose landing the leading role in Disney's live-action version of 'Beauty and The Beast' does not make her sought-after then...

 

You can be as vehement as you like, but the facts don't agree with you.

She hasn't been looking for leading roles in tentpole movies. She's been saying that since the Potter movies ended.

She was the female lead in one movie, Perks , which was quite successful as an indy/arthouse movie. Bling Ring was also an arthouse movie, and was also quite successful in that market. This Is The End was one of the most popular wide-release comedies of its season (although Emma frankly doesn’t seem very comfortable or natural in the movie) and she was only ever signed to do a cameo. Noah , in which she again signed on as a supporting character, was still fairly successful despite an attempted boycott by religious ignoramuses.

In the reality-based community, she's doing just fine.

 

Sure, we all can argue Emma's ability at acting. She is young, and has never had an adult role. Personally, I've enjoyed everything she's been in so far. She is like a little ray of sunshine. But one thing we certainly all can agree on, that Kim Kardashian sure has a big butt!
