    Thought it might interest some of you. Apparently they arrested the (or one) man behind the hacks which lead to the pictures/videos released last september.

    The story I read stated that they had executed a search warrant and seized a computer, some hard drives and a kindle fire, not his house. Since he isn't a "suspect" how can they seize his house? Either way this looks bad for the guy. That sound you just heard was a bunch of computer guys lawyering up.

    Sooo, I guess the FBI probably now has those Emma Watson and Taylor Swift videos?

    I know they exist - I found these caps on webcrawler and confirmed them in an AOL chat room:

    not so sure it is connected to the fappening so much... the initials of people they gave (not this article but one I read yesterday) were leaks that happened a couple years ago.. Christina Hendricks for example

    Based on the initials, it could be Abigail Spencer, Hope Solo, Anna Kendrick, Emily Browning and Amber Heard, with C.H., J.M. and O.W. being either previous cases (like Christina Hendricks) or the legal name of the celebrity. Based on the description in the report, the FBI agent definitely interviewed Spencer and Heard, who were 2014 victims.

    But the guy used the same IP address in his parents' house for 5,000 attempts to reset 2,000 passwords between May 2013 and August 2014, plus apparently from an apartment in Chicago.

    Some of the celebs are reporting that they were locked out of their accounts. This may not be completely connected to the Fappening but I think its safe to say that it at least partially connected. And if you were on his email list or a contacts list at one of the sites central to the event you can probably expect at least some attention from your friendly neighborhood G-Man. It's possible that he was the only one to hack in but from the descriptions at the time it seems that some guys at least were competing against one another in a sort of "I have this celeb, who do you have?" The hacking itself is a felony and the Feds seem to be itching to prosecute as is Apple who wants to make sure that people know that this wasn't a breach of the Cloud. Please note that this is all just my speculation, I claim absolutely no knowledge of what's going on other than what I have read.

    Anyone else intrigued by the "OW" listed by the FBI?

    There were rumours abound that Olivia Wilde had been hacked but I never saw the pictures. Anyone else it could be?

    It was theorized at the time that only a portion of the hack was released. Some claims of this or that celeb having pix were obviously bull, others were attempts to scam folks out of money. The "Taylor Swift nudes" for example wound up being that fake from celeb jihad that was disproved years ago. Some guy complained that he paid a hundred bucks for it. So I guess the answer to your question is maybe yes, maybe no, I doubt we will ever know unless it comes out in a trial but I think we're probably looking at the guy trying for some sort of deal. IIRC the hacker in the ScarJo case got five years Federal which since the Feds don't have good time or parole means five years and a he also got six figure dollar fine. If this was really a "ring" I'd be singing like a bird to avoid that.

    No matter what I think it's safe to say if there were pix of her no one is going to post them now. If you dance with the devil you had better have fire proof underwear.
