    Thanks my friend! And, yes retired, so now I have the time to do the things around my house that nobody else can or will do to my standards! I take my time and work at enjoying the manual labor. Just remember, happiness is more an attitude than a reality. ;)

    I agree....It was suggested to me that I use spackle to fill the counter sunk nails and smooth out the joints in the plywood, but I am finding spackle difficult to deal with....I drop more than I can get to stick on the ceiling.....so I did a sample area this afternoon and will see just how much work and the quality of the results sanding it is tomorrow....right now, I am thinking I will just just caulk to meet those objectives....I am very good at caulking with tons of experience since 1974.
