Dreaming of what might have been - Lucy Hale Auditioned For Anastasia Steele ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’

The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress admitted in a revealing new interview that she auditioned for the part of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ films “I auditioned for Fifty Shades of Grey,” the actress confessed to Us Weekly. :surprised:

Lucy just admitted that she totally wanted to be a part of the coveted Fifty Shades cast that now includes Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele), 24, and Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey), 32. :surprised:

 

Lucy doing a few nudes scenes, that might make that movie worth watching. We'll we can hope her next project will have just as many kinky nude scenes in it.

 

Sorry, not buying into the hype. What she probably meant was that once she realized they were looking for an actress who would do nudity she backed out before the auditions went any further. :2cent:

 

In the new interview all she said was she auditioned for the movie. She didn't say what part.

Just how bad an actress does someone have to be not to be good enough for 50 Shades?

 

It's not a matter of how bad, it's a matter of how NUDE, I suspect. Because trust me, that book is so awful, the nudity will be the ONLY thing driving anyone to see it.

 

Come on, between the book's hype (everyone knows what the book is about) and her agent ("are you sure? This will involve X and Y and Z") , there's just no realistic way she went into this not knowing what was involved. This is a sad loss for all of us.

 

A future nude scene will disprove my position. Until then, I stand by what I wrote. She was using an association to the movie to create buzz about her own career. :2cent:

 

Instead of proclaiming your statement to be true until proven otherwise, why prove to us it's correct? And even if she were trying to generate attention for a part she knew she'd never accept, doing nudity in a future role wouldn't prove that at all.

But if she wants to "prove" it to me by doing a nude scene then I'll gladly listen to her "argument".

 

She was PR mongering using the 50 Shades movie as a vehicle. In the past, celebrities (actresses, comediennes, singers, etc.) would say things like "if Playboy wanted me I'd consider it" or "Playboy made me an offer and I'm thinking it over" and yet they never got naked their whole careers. It was all about creating a buzz round themselves using the premise that they might one day give the male population the titillation that they so craved. :2cent:
