It's sunny now. Last night I drove to work during a severe storm.

Just got back from taking my Aunt and Uncle out to supper.

We had 70,000 people without power in my county alone last night, after the damn storm that I had to drive in to work! Arghh. White-knuckle driving.

 

It was kicking Chicago's butt earlier last night....glad you got thru it OK. Surprising that there is no sight of that system anywhere now.

 

Did you see some of the pics of the damage caused by huge hail in parts of the mid-west yesterday....baseball size and larger. Cars with window broken out and body damage like they were attached by ball-peen hammers....houses with the siding shredded....trees bare and green leaves a foot deep on the ground. :shock:

 

I saw some footage. It maintained its bow shape and just roared across a lot of territory!

I have been attempting to get my scanner to work with my new pc.....sucks as it is too old and has no drivers for windows 8. So looking to see what is available out on the market today....so far, very unimpressed with what HP has to offer. I don't need a high end scanner, just a simple, manual one with reasonably good quality, like 600 dpi. I think I will see what cannon has to offer next.

 

Again, inside. Spent most of the day paying routine bills and medical bills....I think I paid 34 medical invoices today and still have one doctor that has not billed me yet. My document shredder ceased working today, so I spend a little over an hour fixing that....of which most of the time was trying to figure out just how the hell to get inside of it. :? The rest of the day was spent scanner shopping.

 

Wow - 34! .. I haven't looked closely at scanners for years. I used to have a "professional" setup when my ex and I both did marketing work from home.

 

Dang. My CBS station is showing PBS, not CBS. So I checked the PBS station, which is correctly showing PBS. My CBS is gone!
