Why does the title say "outtakes" when there is only one picture?

 

There are actually a bunch of pics there if you manually cycle through some dates and .jpg numbers (about 60 of Kate), not just of Kate Upton either. None of them are as good as the Kate ones though, and they don't all look like SI pics either... I couldn't stumble on to any sort of index though, but I am no expect with Wordpress etc.

 

Never said I wasn't happy, just that I'd be happier... all these magazines she does implied topless pictures for, hand/arm bras, etc. you know everyone on the crew gets to see them in the nude, flying around uninhibited...

would be so nice if just once one of those unedited got released

 

Its why I became a photographer. In the old days every studio/lab had what we called the black book, now it's on flash drives. It's not always cool though, once in a lab I ran into a photo of a girl I was dating giving someone a BJ. That day sucked (in more ways than one). The thing is if you work for or with the big leaguers, like SI, or the Rabbit or someone like that you sign confidentiality agreements. The publicists, and I have only worked with low tier people so I can imagine what say Katy Perry's people do, go through sanitizing hard drives etc..Undoubtedly some folks have photos of many of these girls named. Stuff still gets copied and folks keep it for themselves but if it gets traced back to you you're never going to work in the biz again. It's why studio nip slips and the like are almost always "approved" leaks. It may not be approved by the celeb but someone in their entourage thinks it's good for their career. Just wait, when Kim K's career gets weak enough something will get "leaked". But that is what makes these shots extraordinary. SI themselves released them, usually at the level that Kate operates at she has some approval over the shots. I can't see a publicist missing this, after all when the shot was used before it was cropped so someone saw.

All interesting info. I guess the only thing I would question is, a shot of Kate's tits in the nude would fetch a massive amount of money. Her breasts are only the most famous in the business right now. It surprises me everyone would be so worried about their jobs that they wouldn't shop it around. If a company were to pay, a million or more for them, wouldn't it be worth it even if you couldn't work in this specific business again?

 

It was part of a SI Swimsuit Daily blog post celebrating her 22nd birthday. They had a 2:22 video of "gif-able" BTS outtakes (Video's also on YouTube and further down in this very forum and photo gallery slideshow with dozens of outtakes.

Getting to the image URLs to download them takes going through about 12 or so layers of <DIV> tags and other HTML crap. his photo doesn't show up for the casual viewer in the gallery anymore, but you can view it directly via the URL (kate-22.jpg). I guess they figure there's no point in closing Pandora's, or Kate Upton's, box now, but there are a couple of omissions which makes me wonder what was on those if they got removed from the file server.

 

Its not just your job, its your career and stipulated financial penalties. The confidentiality agreement contains specific financial penalties. You could be charged with theft from the photographer/studio/magazine. You could also be prosecuted for copyright infringement (yes its a crime believe it or not and you could be fined triple whatever you make). Toss in that you won't be able to get a job in photography other than photographing mall Santa at Christmas and it simply isn't worth it. What good is it to get a million, then be fined three million, owe the photographer two, your lawyer a ton more and wind up living in a van down by the river?

No, but believing you are entitled to see them is. There is a lot of that going around these days.

Yvonne Strahovski (of "Chuck", "Dexter", and "24" fame) posed in the nude with bodypaint for a SoBe beverage campaign a few years ago. She was interviewed about the shoot, and the interviewer actually asked her about her getting painted "down there". Yvonne said that the guy who painted her naked body was supposedly gay, but she also said that "he got all up in there" (her exact words) when he painted her pussy. I thought the way she phrased that sounded rather interesting.

And he probably lied to her about being gay.
