She has a point... two points LOL... no but really.

Instagram removes even the slightest of nudity but shows people severly injured, using drugs, abuse, etc... in the name of "expressing oneself" according to their media statement. Nudity is a very bold statement of expressing one self.

Essentially Scout is proving what we already know. Instagram is hypocritical and their policies are fucked up.

Now... lets get Kate Upton to start with this cause too.

She has an excellent point. Women are still discriminated against in The States and across the web. That said, there are better ways to get certain rules changed towards more equality. Solidarity is key. She won't do jack as a one women walking alone nude. Outside of getting herself some attention as a celeb's daughter. I believe female breasts are allowed to be shown in New York city, so...

The only way to make an Instagram or Facebook change their policies is to hurt them in their pocketbook. Might (and money) makes right.

 

Well I think that's the point of her protest. It's legal in the streets of one of the world' most populous cities, but still treated as taboo by Instagram. The point is, basically, that we need to stop thinking of women primarily as sexual objects. The discrimination against women's toplessness in the US is ridiculous and utterly without merit. As a fellow human being, I applaud her. As a pervert with a masturbation problem, I hope more join her cause. Especially Avril Lavigne. Hey, let's start a petition to get Avril to pose topless for the cause! Wait, what cause was I talking about? Something to do with tits...

No, she doesn't have a point. Instagram can do whatever they want with the content on their site. They can make the rules for their site as they see fit. Their site, their rules. Get it? You wouldn't want someone telling you what you should or should not allow in your own home, would you? The fact of this matter is that this is just a broad who wants attention. She can cry about this until the end of days, and she would never have a valid point here. There are plenty of other sites that do allow nudity, Twitter being one of them.

Nobody has denied that Instagram has a right to enforce rules against female toplessness. That's never been in question; it's not what I'm saying, it's not what Scout Willis is saying. We're saying they're wrong in doing so. Do you understand the difference?

 

If enough people decide to quit using Instagram due to a objectionable policy, Instagram will change. Despite whatever moral high ground someone thinks they have for said policy; take their money, take their jobs and they will get on their knees and beg people to return. They have the right to make their own rules; the consumer has the right to quit using their service. It may not be your point of view, but it is a point, regardless. Get it?

 

Instagram is wrong in deciding against nudity? That is only your opinion and no way, shape, or form, does your opinion constitute a fact, nor does that make Instagram wrong.

Do I understand the difference? I understand she is whining about not being able to show her bits on a website she does not own and must comply to their rules or face getting content pulled. I also understand that pervs such as yourself are also on this crusade of showing nudity on a certain website and in doing so, you fail to understand that you and this broad have no legs to stand on with your crusade. But, hey. Keep fighting the good fight. It's a noble cause you and her have taken up. Maybe in doing so, you will help the rest of the world grant basic human rights to everybody, man, woman, and child all across the globe.

Here is yet another thing you do not get. Instagram will not bow to a handful of people bitching about nudity. Instagram is huge right now. The small amount of people who think like you who believe the rules do not apply to you is nothing compared to the people who do not care about the no nudity rule and post normal pictures of themselves. This whole "Power to the people" thing is the single most overused cliche in the world and will not work. It won't even work for causes that matter like health care and Big Brother. What makes you think that boobs will unite enough people to make a change to one site? Do yourself a favor and leave your penis alone for a while. Let the blood go back to the head that matters. Maybe you will wisen up.

But, I will give you credit. You did manage to say one useful thing. The consumer does have the right to stop using their service. So, stop using it and stop the bitching while you are at it too. Quite frankly, it is already annoying. Fighting for more boobs on the internet instead of using that effort on something that matters. Fighting to make someone else's house your own by changing their rules. Today's youth makes me worry about the future of this world. You all think you are entitled to do whatever the fuck you please.

The idea that a woman's chest is obscene violates basic human dignity, though I'd guess by your use of the term "broad" and demeaning tone towards women in general you probably don't agree. And that's fine, you don't have to agree. We're not trying to win woman-haters to our side; I'm content in letting them die out with racists, homophobes, and the rest of the bigots who think it's okay to discriminate based on color, gender, or some other immutable quality.

When you have a company that is worth Billions of dollars there comes some sort of responsibility. They no longer can "do what they want because they own it." That sir, is fact. and also Instagram is not owned by Instagram it is owned by FACEBOOK. SO of course the same rules apply.

Our point is, for me, for others and for Scout is NOT about nudity ban. You are hung up on that, and refuse to move away from that. Again IT IS NOT ABOUT INSTAGRAM REMOVING IMAGES OF HER TITS... it is about raising awareness that much worse shit is being put on Instagram that should be taken off. As a multi BILLION dollar company, they now have an EXTREME responsibility to sheriff what gets put on Instagram... including hateful, violent and drug use images. Her tits, are much less hurtful, offensive and detrimental to the populace than these other images we speak of. THATS THE POINT. Why isn't hateful images being removed from Instagram as well? What about violent ones? Drug use? Abuse? They are all on there in the name of "expression" when in fact Nudity is one of the biggest forms of expression you can do... the word hypocrite comes to mind.

Now is it the best way to raise this point? Maybe not... but it was a noble effort IMO. It got us talking about it, if people would catch the drift... and also a rich bratty bitch would not give two flying fucks what Instagram likes to remove...

So if you can get yourself past the fact she is bare chested, and that is NOT about getting nudity removed from Instagram... than you can grow as a person... or at least a poster on Phun.

Can't debate with people who have one hand on the keyboard and one hand on their little used piss sticks.
