  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    The one problem I'll run into is this, the laptop we use is old, Windows XP Pro, and will it recognize and run an mp4 format. Also, I can't just load new programs into it. I'll have to run everything off of a stick.

    I have xp pro on this pc, and mp4 runs well on it. the addon is called "Download youtube videos as mp4 1.7.18"

    it all depends on the codecs for the player.. or if you have VLC player it'll run the videos

    KeepVid offers a choice of formats, including .flv, which should work with Windows Media Player.
