Busy day in SVF.

 

That section has a tendency to get flooded with new content.

 

11 pages in the last 24 hours, nearly 3 more in HD. Remarkably, I only had to warn one poster for rules violations. Just finished. I was at it for 3 hours.

 

I'm still confused about the whole gif thing. One day it's no gifs, the next day gifs are okay..

 

Damn! Nose to the grindstone huh? 11 goddamn pages. Still think 15 is a bit overkill but whatever.

 

I personally don't care if people post gifs as comments unless the OP of a thread says otherwise.

I'm a little more thorough about it, mainly because I can afford the time in the evenings. In the end we all benefit.

Most people don't post 15. There was just a lot of activity today by a great many contributors. It happens now and then.

 

Did you end up using that pizza deal? I forgot about it.

 

What kinds of things do you do when checking threads? Obviously, you'd make sure the rules are followed. But, I'm wondering if there are specific tasks you do every time that can be automated. For instance, do you hover over images to make sure the image host is approved?

 

I think reaction gifs would be nice, if it's just a few randomly on a page. But, I totally get why you would want thumbs only in a gif-heavy thread like the celeb gifs thread. Loading that many gifs on one page is a performance nightmare.

 

That's pretty much how I feel as well.

 

We had chicken marsala and pasta for supper.

I hover over thumbs to check the imagehost but some images are hotlinked so I actually have to open those to reveal the host. I open images and look at the screencaps. I check to make sure the filehost links work and that they are operable by free users. Some people post links that only premium users can access. That's a nono. I check for file info. I determine whether or not the thread title is as accurate as possible and that people aren't just making shit up so they can repost a video undetected, or if there are more filehost links than advertised. In the megathreads I check the comments. Stuff like that.
