I slept today. I'm just getting ready for a long night.

 

How was your drive home this morning, PM?

 

I slid the window open 'cause Leo wanted to poke his nose out of it. He's lying there enjoying it. He's going to have a cold nose.

 

started as snow, but temps were rising overnight so it became freezing rain and then rain. At least that's what the weatherman said ... it was snowing went to bed ... looked like that when I woke up.

 

It was brutal. So was the drive there. Ice under the snow, with no escape. I did 25 mph or less the whole way.

What's the island?

 

I never will forget driving in our ice storm we had here at Christmas of '89. People were sliding all over the place. Many knew they HAD to drive slow, but did not know they HAD to start stopping much earlier than normal......thousands of fender benders.

 

I remember the island....can't you walk out there at low tide?

 

My ABS actually kicked in at a stop light!

 

I guess this is a daily ritual now.
