all roads around here looked like this



roofs got blown off on some houses, smaller buildings got blown away and such. this is gonna be expensive for the companies that said that they had storm proofed the electrical grid

 

good thing I managed to get hold of a generator so that we can have some power on important things

 

wow there TO. scary stuff.

 

be back in 20. have to go update the runway check.

longest i've gone without power was a few hours.
people around me have gone days.
my grandmother and aunt were out for over a week and stayed with us.

 

that took a little longer than expected.

longest I've been without power was overnight there lager

 

it isn't so bad when a woodburning stove and heatsource is present.. the days are a little short without lights though, candles doesn't really make up for the loss of fluorescent light. only thing for the generator is to have power to the freezer boxes.

we have decided though that it may be time to get a larger generator though, so that we can have 380V power so that everything in the house and farm can function as normal

 

so you are running on a small generator now there TO?

I seem to be over everything, but still energy is a little low. The wife will be on her meds for another weeks or so, but she it at work now.
