Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    The thing is, they did not have to as it started out really well...a more appropriate ending could have brought a more realistic and appropriate closure. Stupid writers!

    its too bad that with all the technical advances and big budget productions they can't do better with these remakes. :(

    some stuff just doesn't lend itself to being re-done. those fuckers should come up with some original ideas ...

    I don't have a problem with some remakes, at least in concept. The technology of the movie was great as was the acting....they problem was the writing of the basic plot. I won't go into detail, but the purpose of the "invasion" was changed which was OK. Several other aspects of the plot due to the change were interesting and reasonable....I just think the ending was poor and incomplete.....they did not finish it.

    Well I didn't want to ruin it for you, so I waited until after. Nothing I saw in previews/trailers looked promising, but I watched it when it came on HBO.
    I love old sci-fi movies. The '50s were a good decade for sci-fi movies. I also loved The Forbidden Planet.
