No, just kept it in the frig....which I keep at 32.5 degrees.

 

The wife is late for a Sunday night....yesterday my mother in law took my father in law to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain....turns out it is pancreatitus.....strange since that is usually associated with regular heavy drinking and/or a very fatty diet, neither of which is true in this case. They wanted to keep in the hospital for a few days due mostly to the pain meds and his age. The wife got up early this morning to take my mother in law out for breakfast then up to see her father. She has picked up her mother after work and again going to the hospital.

 

I'm very sorry to hear that, Thore. I hope he's OK.

 

Thanks.....he should be as he is improving.....I guess we can expect more of this as both are in their early 90's.

 

You're probably right Thore. *sigh*

 

I lost my parents 13 years ago.....they were 84 and 86. They lived independently until their death.

 

Speak of the devil, the wife just got home and wants to get the dog walk over so she can eat and crash....back afterwards.

I live with that uncertainty every day. Seeing my folks at the breakfast table every morning gives me hope another good day will come to pass.

Just found out that the cause of the pancreas problem is his gall bladder.....that needs to be removed, but will not be an open surgery.
