The Salvation Army is going to try to take advantage of an accounting error by my mom's brother's trust conservators to rob her of nearly half of the inheritance he left her upon his death. It's a huge sum of money (by poor folk standards) and it's really pissing us off. I don't want to discuss specifics but it's so irritating I had to vent. Those bastards! Christian charity my ass. :x

 

Is it fixable without a lot of wasted time?

 

I've had the AC off for the past 5 days. Even though it was 91 today the house is so well insulated the inside temp never topped 75.

 

No. There's a court hearing scheduled for late November. We'll see what the judge has to say, and whether or not SA will appeal an unfavorable decision. They claim to have legal precedent on their side (the case is being settled in Iowa) and perhaps they might, but if it comes down to it, we have facebook on our side, and have every intention of skewering them in the court of public opinion with a facebook page designed just for that, as well as internet media outlets. The idea is to cost the SA more than they'll gain by robbing a 91 year old woman.

 

I am getting the feeling this is going to be a relatively early evening here......gravity is taking its toll.

 

Temps are in the lower 40s here. A little chilly.
