Anything interesting in the news?

 

No, not really. The world is fucked. Same old, same old.

 

At some point in the very near future I have to go get smokes. Just sayin'.

 

We should do lunch before I leave town.

 

That's why I don't watch the news. I read the headlines, and if something interests me, I read it. That's why I prefer reading the news, you can just get the facts and not read all the opinion stuff.

 

When do you leave town?

 

Undecided, but by the end of the year perhaps. Some details to work out first.

 

Ah. I see. It's too bad you never got to go to any Coyotes games while you were here. It's also too bad I didn't know you lived in Glendale sooner. I would've been able to get you discounts on concerts and stuff.

 

That's nice of you to say. I don't go out much, no one to go out with, really. My time in Phoenix is and always has been a temporary arrangement so I haven't done much socializing. But thank you all the same.

 

If I'm still here come Spring Training (there's an outside possibility of it), if you can discount tickets to ball games, I may take you up on that.

 

Same here. I also brought it up because I've never gotten to use the special discounts. My family isn't interested, and all my friends work at the arena. Where was your favorite place to live? Vegas?

It's a toss up between New Orleans and Chicago. Both cities have old, well established culture (music, food, ethnicity, historical significance, etc), but Chicago is way too cold for me in the winter and N.O. was just a flight of fancy. I'd move back to New Orleans in a heartbeat though if my circumstances were different. And some day I will.

 

That's cool that you've been able to visit so many different places. My family stopped including me on family vacations when I was in high school. If I could visit any other country though, it would be Australia.

 

I'm gonna walk up to Chevron, should be back in 15 minutes or so....

 

I started travelling on my own when I was 19. I plan on going to Australia before I die, even if it kills me.

There is a beautiful beach there called Whitehaven Beach. The sands of the beach are constantly shifting. I saw a picture of it in a book, and have wanted to go there ever since.
