Yeah, Morello is definitely one of the most unique players around.

 

I like The Wall well enough but I feel the Wish You Were Here - Dark Side - Animals trilogy was their best work.

 

For the longest time, I didn't even know it was a guitar. It sounds more like scratching. Do you like Randy Rhoads?

 

I love Wish you were here, Shine On You Crazy Diamond is one of my favorites of theirs, some great sax work in there.

 

One of my absolute favorites.

 

He's something else. I got dragged to a club in L.A. some 20 odd years ago before I had heard Rage's first album. They fuckin blew me away.

 

Shame he passed when he was only 25.

 

Fuck, that would have been something to see.

Just imagine what he would have accomplished if he had been going all these years.

For sure. What about metal? Where you guys into any bands like Rainbow, Deep Purple, Queensrÿche, Judas Priest?

 

All those bands are from my era.

The oldest song I have in my iTunes is from 1721. The oldest actual song I have is (Get Your Kicks On) Route 66 from 1957.

 

Only one of those I haven't listened to much is Queensryche, I really like Deep Purple though. I like pretty much all metal up until when they start growling, thats when they lose me.

If I can understand what they are saying, I don't mind it. But it's not really growling if you can understand what they are saying. I like metalcore, bands like As I Lay Dying, Avenged Sevenfold & Killswitch Engage.

By the way, the first music video I ever saw was Money for Nothing by Dire Straits. My first CD was The Ozzman Cometh by Ozzy Osbourne.

What I've heard of Avenged Sevenfold is pretty good, haven't listened to much of the others.
