An Open Letter To Miley Cyrus....

The online feud has started... time to get some popcorn and see where this goes.

 

cyrus should not have even responded. she gave conner the thing she most craves in the world; the moral high ground.

 

I don't know Sinead's history like you do, but agree with it or not, nothing in her letter sounded as if it came from a psychologically damaged person to me.

Perhaps. I think it was an appropriate response under the circumstances. It was the equivalent of saying, "Hey look, this broad's a nutcase!" without actually having to say anything. And of course, O'Connor just went ahead and proved the point in her rebuttal.

 

Perhaps Sinead needs to realize that Miley knows that she is only good for showing tits and ass and she is trying to make as much money as she can off her body before she loses whatever appeal she has.

 

I don't think that's a valid point. Miley Cyrus has an estimated net worth of 150 million dollars so it's unlikely her carefree antics are motivated by greed. She's a mere 20 years old. Like Cyndi Lauper said, girls just want to have fun, and Miley appears to be having a blast.

 

I hate defending Miley, but in her position my response would have, at minimum, been STFU and MYOB. And possibly EABOD. There was a very self-righteous and judgmental tone in the first letter, coming from someone whom I assume is a complete stranger. Poking fun at Sinead's mental health history is wrong, but if she is still that fragile she shouldn't have even gotten herself involved in the first place, let alone publicly.

Of course it is a valid point. She won't get by on her songwriting ability. She definitely does not have a voice that will take her to the moon and beyond like Celine Dion. She isn't going to be a producer with a pedigree like Dr. Dre. She has one thing going for her and she is running with it. Maybe her only motive isn't money, but fame-seeking ties in with the cash. They go hand in hand.

 

Put it in the same category as taking relationship advice from Charlie Sheen or legal advice from O.J. Simpson. Okay, maybe that isn't so obvious - how about taking weight loss advice from Rosie O'Donnell or tax advice from Wesley Snipes.

The moralists and apologists for all things celebrity are starting to take the fun out of Phun with their political correctness. Let the rest of us enjoy taking the piss out of celebs who deserve it and stay out of the forums if the comments oppose your religious or moral views. Engaging in debate over political/philosophical differences is one thing but pontificating and castigating is something else entirely.

How can she be seeking fame? She's already wildly famous. If anything, she's just set about to change her image, and that has nothing to do with money. Making money off of it is a byproduct for her at this point, it comes with the publicity.

 

Sinead's letter is a little different from the one I wrote to Miley.

 

So someone wants me to believe that she wrote that letter? I would give a months pay if you can prove to me that it was not written by a Pro speech writer. I would doubt that she even read the thing. More publicity for someone who has done nothing worth writing about since she wiped her ass with a picture of the Pope. Such BS.

Any publicity is good publicity. Wasn't it Miley that recently said "Might as well have them talk about you for two weeks instead of two minutes."? Without Miley pulling all this stuff recently, would everybody be talking about her or would it just be the kiddies talking about her? She is a the prototypical fame seeker. She wants her name to reach as many people as possible.
