    I reckon that the problem is that without having IMDb as a reference point, the thread is exposed to all sorts of randoms who people think, in their opinion, are celebs. Late night radio DJ from Bloemfontein and a weather girl from Quebec are unlikely to be "celebs", although some Boere in the Free State would likely beg to differ.

    You do have a point r.e. reality stars. It's a shame they're considered celebs though. Shame on us. :(

    So please, spare the randoms and the associated flood of crappy requests, and keep to the IMDb thing.

    Not enough for full x-ray; just worked on accenting highlighted skin tones and shadows etc. Juuuust not enough to do the happy parts though...

    Still, I like it.

    You're welcome to start a new thread. The OP isn't even an active member any longer (last activity was 4 years ago). As I said, the OP of any new thread should spell out what is acceptable and what is not as far as content is concerned. But whatever that may be is thread policy, not phun policy, and shouldn't be promoted as such.

    Went a bit overboard trying to get colour/tones right...

    Remains to be the toughest part of x-ray: getting skin tones to match that of surrounding skin. Any tips from c-thru and the like would be great...

    Don't blur and use the dodge/burn tool so much. Try just decreasing the saturation a bit, then adjusting the hue to more match the surrounding skin. Attempting to remove the stripes just makes it look too artificial. You can minimize them by separating the colors into their own layers and adjusting them separately, but it takes more time.

    Just as a note: I actually, as a test of sorts, tried the clone tool on the Hayden pic. I wanted to see if there was a better way of mimicking skin, but as you pointed out, the effect comes out a bit heavy-handed.
