50 Shades Of Grey cast announced

The movie has a director and just set an American release date for August 2014, so a cast should be forming quickly. Anyone care to speculate on who will be getting naked for 3 movies?
I'll go with Lea Michele or Kate Mara, and Ian Somerhalder. I just hope they don't use some barely known actress. I would have said K-Stew, but her schedule is filled.

 

Bet there won't be any nudity. They will make it "more acceptable for the female audience" and likely tone everything down and the things that made the book popular will be done "with class," meaning, "off screen and the lead actress won't need ot be naked."

 

It's gonna be r-rated, I'm sure they've said that already. If not then there's really no point in making the movie anyway.

I personally am hoping for Alexandra Daddario.

 

Emma Watson is my fervent hope... R rated might just be enough for her to accept... Hopefully!!!

 

If this discussion were to take place 10 years ago I would have chosen Nicole Kidman, and if it took place 5 years ago I would have preferred to see Leelee Sobieski - both of whom, by coincidence, appeared in Eyes Wide Shut. If this movie comes even close to EWS in nudity I would be surprised. :2cent:

Emma Watson is my favorite celeb but I think she's just a little too pubescent and innocent at this point in her career to make this work. So my personal choice would be Anna Kendrick and then Anne Hathaway. But that's likely to change a couple of hundred times before the actual role is casted. :thinking:

Edit: Just changed my mind - Alison Brie is my choice - with Ashley Tisdale in a very nude minor role.

If she gets topless big time. I am ALL for her being in that movie!

 

EL James just announced Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson as lead actors. Disappointed!!

 

Dakota is the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith FWIW.

The problem is that most of the actresses we would like to see play the lead probably weren't going to get naked or even topless. That may take away from the script.

 

:thumbsup: to that. Having a hot, young, ambitious actress who is willing to be a nude a necessary is far better than one of the "I won't be nude, or if I am it must be covered and tasteful and a body double" any day. And remember, her mom made her mark with some pretty awesome nude sequences.

 

I want to see Dakota naked regardless,so I'll Take it!

while seeing emma watson buck nakid in sex scenes would be pure worthy, but theres no way she was going to do it. id rather there be a girl that wants to get fully nude and do nasty sex scenes than a famous actress do limp dick scenes with little or no nudity

Any actor who even makes the slightest hint at any point in their career that they won't do nudity should be blacklisted and possibly also thrown in the sea. It's arbitrary and unprofessional.

 

Anna Kendrick would be great. Already seen plenty of Hathaway but it would pretty much guarantee some nudity since we know she's not shy about showing the goods. Kirsten would be great as well now that's she's started taking it off.

I could almost see Michelle Williams taking a roll too

 

Well I'll consider that an epic fail. I googled Dakota, and personally I don't see anything special. I certainly won't be waiting for anything from this movie.

 

Yeah they missed the mark big time on this cast. He's not handsome enough to play Christian as described in the book and she's not right at all for Ana. A great ass only goes so far. I figure the production had a real lack of options as I doubt many actors wanted to have this on their resume.

 

I think a great actress to play Anna would be Kay Panabaker. The way I've seen Anna described I think Kay would fit the role quite nicely.

Dakota is willing to do the full frontal nudity that the film required. I'm sure that makes her a beter choice than a lot of the actresses on some people's "wish list."

 

Dakota is a pretty good actress and plenty hot for this role. A little hollywood magic and they will both be right for it.
