I voted but I'm done commenting. Everyone has their opinions and we've all voiced them plenty of times.

We had the decision made before, the age of sixteen was chosen and it seemed to work fine apart from a few closet paedos. Rules are now in place to get rid of that from phun and the age of consent is sixteen in most of the territories we all live in.

I'd ask the mods to make a decision that last for the rest of our time here. Whatever the decision (whether to change or keep the current rule) I ask that the decision is permanent and to bring an end to the discussion that seems to be dragged up by the same people over and over.

 

I'd be much happier with 18+.The fuckwits in Celebrity Photo's commenting that they want to butt fuck under 18 year olds makes me feel sick.

If there was a way to filter out those comments,I'd be fine with under 18,but there isn't!

No. As I explained before, the age limit could be sixteen or fifty. But people who lust after fourteen year olds would not be affected by that. It doesn't matter to them. I was concerned about sexual comments of girls who were fourteen and so on. Girl on phun are sixteen and legal to the general age of consent in most of the territories that a majority of phun members come from.

I am content with the rules as they are now as I am an adult and can control my sexual desires.

 

Cayne has the only word on it. It's not a staff decision. If you're serious about this poll, he's the one you're going to need to impress.

 

I know where you stand Jamms. I didnt say you started the thread. It was your thread that prompted thoughts and discussion regarding age limits again though. Easy there mate, im not trying to corner you.

 

I'd think Cayne would be an extremely easy sell on an issue that's gonna be his ass (legally and monetarily) on the line. Besides, a user poll is about the only way to find out the majority anyhow to present an opinion to him with.

There has been plenty of discussion and arguments in favor of 18+. Thats all youre hearing? Perhaps some hear what they want to hear.

We're already in it. If your territory is 18+ and you are really morally conflicted about seeing a clothed girl, then, maybe another board is for you.

If it was possible to poll the entire of phun, I doubt if anything but the smallest percentage would vote for 18+. It's just that the minority that wants it is vocal right now. 16+ has worked for years and will continue to do so.

I also think that there is an implied bias from the 18+ crowd that when we see a girl we all automatically think nothing but deviant sexual thoughts. But it's also fine to look at a girl who's sixteen (the legal age) and say, yeah, she's gorgeous. And nothing more.

 

That right there is the hardest thing to express and the hardest thing to understand around here it seems. The discomfort that is caused by what are supposed to be grown men, lusting and openly expresding their desire to defile underage girls. Yes, this is a multi cultural and multi geograpgical board. Where im from though, anything under 18 is underage. They cant buy cigarettes, be released on their own recognizance, enter into a binding contract, join the military...etc. For some reason, though, some states think its fine for girls 16 years old to agree to sex with an adult. Its mind boggling.

So the biggest argument in favor of 16 being the age here is that we would lose so much content in celeb photos. First, I find it hard to believe that it would be such a great loss. Second, if that were true, I find it disparaging that such a huge portion of our celeb section is dedicated to kids under the age of 18. Third, im of the opinion that these kids dont and never have had a place here at phun anyway.

I have asked before, what has been or is or will be gained by allowing children to be posted to phun? Its not the appearance that I or quite a few others here would like to see put forth.

 

And I dont think any of us 18+ advocates have ever said there was an issue with saying someone is gorgeous and leaving it at that.
