Uh, you gotta be in the top 10 edit posters of all time Prevail, I been collecting your stuff for years and years.

You havent beat Zonononononononzonor yet, but youre up there (lol, Zon's name is like banana, you can never figure out when to make it stop). I think Zon is probably still the king of edit /collages imo. IDK if gman is still posting over at tlfan.to or not but he's been top 10 for years too. Recently, I'd have to put Kaos from phun on there too.

(I'm too colorblind I think to really be top drawer, Ive certainly been around long enough, but never had that color balance the top guys do.) Meh, Im happy enough. I managed to get some pics on Robb's celebs in its hayday so I've always been pretty satisfied. That and 4 cases on fake detective 3 pre-outside credits and 1 named credit.

lol, ya I remember Zon. Way back when I first started collecting, his stuff was gold... Seems like ages ago now tho.

Ya,there has been a handful of us who have come, and now gone. But its good to see some new guys take the torch and keep posting in here.
For me nothing beats a really good edit of one of your favourite girls. Thats why I decided to try and do my best to give back, and try and get others interested in creating also. I did my part to help this thread grow to where it is 2day and nowLike 2001pm who created this thread I just sit back and enjoy the awesome stuff you guys make.

Im using an new process for hair, works especially good on simple background pics.

grab a color sample from the nearest clean background > magic wand > feather 5 px > grow selection 2-4 (depending on color range) > soft brush at 25% oversize for selection area, brush opacity 20% > brush type color erase > paint away background leaving all the hair in place.

I used it on this Monica collage here and the hair is near perfect. That's a new script set up for gmic that offsets all the tones using 2 layers and a mask so the side bodies are more intensely effected by it. I think it may be a bit over used (opinions?) but not sure. Also left body legline seems heavy. May need to use the individual layers to cut it by 50%, doesnt look natural does it. Gah, I hate to take it all apart for piddly shit like that. The entire background and flooring in this pic were all added in since the base pics were just plain mostly white backgrounds.

Just those steps above with a 50% grey mask on the glass in the windows, total time about 10-15 minutes. Hope you dont mind, it as just an example.

 

As I look at the finished edit I think it could have used an adjustment layer set at about 25% opacity <burn> then mask it at the top of the seat back 0% descending to 100% at the floor so her legs would look more natural. Theres never as much light at the floor as there is above a light blocking object like the windows. Her shins shouldnt be as bright as her arms/face imo, but I didnt keep the layered file and I'm not doing the whole thing again lol.

I build my stuff in batches vs finishing one pic, then saving it until I have few to post. So until a given batch is done I really just don't have anything newer to post. So if anything real life or whatever *cough* hours playing Planetside 2 *cough* comes up the entire next batch just stalls out in limbo.. It's the main down side of my build process really.

Build on a Compaq p75 with a build in TV card. I could of bought a p90 (ohhh look out) for about the same price but went with the slower model being it had the tv card, plus it was pretty easy to overclock a p75 to p90 speed anyways.
JLH was the first tv caps, Alba was the first movie, by way of vhs of course.
