Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I've usually warned or penalised such folk, CAI, but an older hand Admin recently advised that there are no imagehost restrictions for sigs!

    I'm not sure, Lurker, but you appear to be suggesting that we should change the rules to include sig pics in the imagehost rules?
    The argument against it is simply that we don't need to apply the same criteria to isolated small sig images as we do to multiple image posting in the image/video forums.
    And if we don't need to, don't make the extra work! ;)
