As per being guided by a mod, I asked the OP of a Gif thread if "posters could post the movie/show in the title, of where their gif came from".
Simple, like in many other threads.

People were asking time after time "where is this from?".
I wasn't a show stopper for me lol, but it was becoming stupid seeing this question over and over, when posters could just include the source of the Gif in the title.
(IMO Adding the "Source" means to just add the movie/show title to your post title - 2 seconds of the posters time)

You would think this was simple and mature right?

Certain people have proved their schoolboy attitudes and have not let up, after the OP of the thread added the requirement into the Thread title.
(Changing the thread title I never requested)

Hmmm...probably didn't help that folks like me are adding in file size and other info too, but I actually like writing about this stuff.

(and posting bad double entendres. Hey, it's a disease, I know...)

Don't mind if folks want to kick the tires a bit, and 'try before they buy' with these, so I'll rap about it some.

I'm sure some folks just skip all that and go right to the vid though, too. It's there if they want it - and not, if they don't.

I do like the fact that it (adding in titles, etc.) helps search, since the parser doesn't pick up text-in-URLs (and not everyone knows who an actress in a particular GIF is), which also helps to avoid dupes...but if it comes down to folks continuing to post without it, vs. not posting with it - I think I prefer the former.

I seem to remember some people doing more of that early on, but with some of the more prolific folks, these days, it's gettin' more like "here's your damn GIF - now shaddup already!"

I'm - generally speaking - ok with that.

We all make a joke, sure no problem.
But the same joke over and over?...I would call that spamming a thread, childish and not respecting the OP's wishes.
Whether it be one poster or a thread gang, it is a kick in the teeth, if you will.

I don't really give a shit if the rules change or stay the same anywhere on here, but if a suggestion is taken on board by the OP, you should respect the OP for it, and the OP should stick by his/her decision and not be ridiculed into changing it by the posters.

Good luck with searches in these "bare/thrown in titles" posts & threads, especially when they revert back to a one-word title.
