also, I was thinking of changing the time for sotw again, 1 hour earlier, 00:00CET(midnight) to 23:00CET(11pm). anyone have any objections to that?

Honestly don't know, he just packed up and left.. I think he moved somewhere else (irl) where he had no connection atm. he said that he might be back some day though so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Cy is moveing back home from Texas i think it was. He might be back one day but if he doesnt he said goodbye to all his friends in here. IT would take him some time to get everything in order.

Great to see a large number of votes this week, hope it's a sign that interest is picking up although I have a feeling it's just because Ms. Perry is so popular

It's called Buffet Script, have no idea where I got it but it should be easy enough to find. This is the first time I've managed to use it successfully, lots of the time when I try it for a name it looks ugly or awkward, I think because of some of the lc letters. Awesome caps though.

 

Wanted to give props to the creator of #2 for integrating both themes so great job Lukin :thumbs: I voted for yours but had no idea how much work was involved, major props for that (and for the tutorial natch).

Not sure if anyone noticed earlier —more obvious now that they're side by side— but helium used the same font as Lukin. This week's contest shows a little how much you can do to put your own stamp on a small piece of type, and how much it can add to the final sig.

For anyone that's interested on mine for the the illusion of the letters interlacing there's a bit of simple masking and layering. The arced 'sig of the week' was done oversize, shaped using Distort and Warp (Arc at -20 I think) in Free Transform, then turned into a smart object before rotating and scaling to fit. If I'd done all the distortions at the final size it would have made the edges too soft to look good.
