So where would you like to visit Jack, if not Vegas?

Visiting doesn't hold a lot of appeal to me in such cases anyway....I'm not a touristy person....I don't like to go to tourist places or tours...I did that once....and it wasn't much fun......I'd like to live in a place....get a feel for it....the streets the building the sky....the trees......you can't do that on a visit....at least I can't.

 

Anywhere I guess. But for the sake of discussion, start with the USA.

As for me, I'd love to go to Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Also Sao Paolo and Brazillia.

I don't like the US to be honest.....I mean of course it's better than here but it's not somewhere I'd pick first to go or live.....the few places I'd like to visit are Seattle, Portland....places like that.

As far as other countries go....Canada, New Zealand, France, Germany....these are the good places to go.

 

I'm curious, why don't you like it specifically?

The Pacific Northwest is remarkably beautiful. Good choice. Both those cities are quite interesting too.

I would love to go hiking in New Zealand, what a wonderous place. Canada I've been to in several regions. The Eastern Maritimes are on my bucket list. France and Germany would be nice. And Spain.

Spain is too cultural.....I don't like cultural places or people.

Why I don't like the US.....I don't know how to exactly articulate it (which is pathetic I know) .......I suppose it's the type of people.....too too many stupid people in the US....too much focus on commercialism....too much crime....too much ethnic diversity......a lot of narrow mindedness.

 

I'm not a hiker as such....or an outdoors person....I honestly just like to sit somewhere or stroll around and take things in.

 

I've yet to meet a Spaniard (and I've met many since living in Las Vegas) who's any more cultured than anyone else from anywhere else in Europe. If anything, Brits tend to have the edge in that department and possibly Germans. The French are mostly a bunch of louts. The eastern Europeans and the Italians are the friendliest.

It's nice to know our mass media has produced so many inaccurate stereotypes.

 

I enjoy that too. Less wear and tear on my knees.

 

It's not just the media........I know people who have been there who are living there.....nobody really propagates it.....and I don't know anybody who wants to go there.

 

Meh, their loss I guess.
