1. All affiliates must agree to and abide by Hotfile’s Terms of Service, Affiliate Terms and Conditions, Intellectual Property Policy, and Privacy Policy. Failure to do so may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination of an account.
2. Hotfile’s Affiliate Program is a revenue sharing program. An affiliate earns money when a file that they have uploaded results in the purchase of a premium account by a downloader. Payment is calculated based on a percentage of the total value of premium accounts purchased by users who download the affiliate’s uploaded files. Affiliates begin by receiving 25% of the premium account sales they generate. This percentage increases by 5% for every 10 premium account sales that are generated, resulting in a maximum of 50% of each premium account sale payable to the affiliate.
3. We pay affiliates once a month. Amounts due to affiliates for any calendar month are paid 15 days after the end of the month.

Today, Hotfile changed the system of payment! Now, Hotfile pays only for sales of premium!

 

What a load of bullshit from Hotfile. Being a member who only used the earnings to extend my premium account my balance is now -$108.2. Being that I have about 300 Gb worth of porn files in there, I'm expecting my account to be deactivated in the next week or so.

Basically, Hotfile reward payouts will no longer be download based but based on each sale. The bigger deal to me is how Hotfile will be supposedly even stricter in it's filehunting. Read somewhere that if your account is suspended, you have to answer some virtual "quiz" in order to get your account reinstated. :roll:

But guys, come on... is this really surprising at all? What's REALLY surprising is the large number of Hotfile only posts by cashposters on SVF in the past week, only to have their links deleted by Hotfile only a couple of days later; it's as if these posters don't know that Hotfile already is aggressive in deleting files/banning accounts (or probably don't care... tsk, tsk.)

Woah... that really sucks! But... how did your account balance go into the negative? That seems kind of... well, doesn't really make sense, dbt?

I dont like this new HF policy, but gonna try a month or two.

 

My advice - use it if you like, but don't pay for a premium membership. Pretty shady at this point.

 

My 5 hotfile accounts are banned so now i m not gonna post in HOTFILE... i think admin should allow host like bitshare. it's very good and depositfile

 

The new host must B equal to filesonic. So that downloading limit for free users may not B disturbed. And it would B really cool for premium users. Cause they will have the safest host. NEW HOST MUST BE RISK FREE

Actually, HF changed their affiliate payment system to make it MUCH MORE advantageous for them (pay per sale), what I suspect will be last ditch cash grab by HF. 'Tis why I'm advising anyone who's using hotfile to download NOT to buy a premium account. :no:

It's not that people haven't figured out hotfile's new policy - I just don't think they really care. They're still hoping that they can spam enough to get enough of that % sale money. :|

1 MONTH!?!? Try like 3 days! It all depends on two things (1) if the uploader is still spamming his hotfile links all over the place and (2) if the uploader wasn't wise enough to rename the files. In my experience, if you don't do both nowadays, Hotfile is going to wipe your files away in less than a week easily. Heck, even if you do both, there's still a high chance your files are going to be deleted!

You spelled out the 2 main reasons why uploaders aren't using Mediafire - splitting files less than 100mb is a pain and that wee small potential hope they can still get virtual rewards from their Hotfile links.

 

Huh... that must've been a very recent change to Mediafire - when I made this recent upload I originally had to re-RAR the file to 100 MB parts cuz MediaFire wouldn't let me upload it any bigger.

But yeah, fact of the matter is, many of the uploaders won't use Mediafire simply cuz the lack of any reward incentives - even though given the current filesharing situation, that's pretty much gone now.
