  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I think this will possibly be better once I have had time to get use to it and fully scope it out. At this point, I am more than giving Phun Mgt the benefit of the doubt, but I do miss the thanks button......I frequently desire to let a poster know I appreciate their posting efforts, but do not wish to add a lame "thanks buddy!" comment.

    Im partial to the Thanks button feature because it allows me to keep track of what i have/havent seen in large threads. If i thank every post that posted content as i go through the thread, i know where i stopped when i come back nexttime. I dont see how this feature could possibly slow down the thread, Phun has always been pretty quick on my end, save for the annoying refresh page when you click the Thanks button. Even still, id rather have it, than not.

    Don't mind the new layout... I'll get used to it, I guess... but I HATE that there's no thanks button anymore (unless that's glitches). If it's not, you really need to bring that back. That was half the reason I posted threads, to get as many thanks as possible.

    I know sites that use like and dislike buttons, and I'm actually happy there's no dislike button here because then people would just vote certain threads down because of who made them, but the thanks button does no harm, only good. This is all my opinion, of course, but I feel that most will agree with me.

    I agree with RAMistheMAN. Without the Thanks button, people will post Thanks as a new message, which will push the original message to the top. Once that happens, the really new posts get mixed up with "Thanks" posts and it becomes very tedious to figure out what is a new post with new content and what isn't.

    Sorry to see the change. Same thing happened at Skins.be awhile back, and it was never the same. In addition to the lack of a Thanks button (which was great for bookmarking what you've seen/downloaded), there is also no way to view a single message, which makes it difficult to download images from a specific message. Now you get the entire page. Not good.

    The worst "feature" of this new form software is that you can no longer view a singular post, and instead you have see the entire thread, always. That's a pain.

    Before you all get yourselves thoroughly depressed, this is the vBulletin 4.x default skin, which I suspect won't be around for long, knowing cayne. Secondly, I don't doubt there'll be numerous tweaks that we'll discover as we get familiar with it, that will doubtless improve things for us. Thirdly, the layout is probably relatively fixed for vBulletin 4.x, but we have even that to discover yet. And finally, hopefully the "Thanks" hack for vBulletin 4.x will soon be acquired!
