Hey Scribe , how've you been sir?

 

I've been well. Had a fun 4th, how 'bout you?

 

Had a fun 4th too, went to see Hank Williams, Jr. that Friday night and stayed an extra day at the casino. lol - brought back some of the red in me. He put on a hell of good show actually.

Same ol' same ol' other than that. Still busy here. Everybody's healthy though

 

Hank Jr rocks! That sounds like a blast.

Okay, just got done reseating our toilet. Gonna shower now. Back in a bit.

 

It was fun. He more mellow now, doesn't get totally shit faced to the point he can't perform.

I saw him years ago, he was pretty wrecked. Still born to boogie though.

I want to day it was about 20 years ago when we went last. He put on a hell of show that night until about the 3rd set. In between sets his band went back stage, they brought him a stool, his acoustic guitar, and ofcourse a bottle of Jack. He was so screwed after a while he starting singing one song then just went to another right in the middle of it. The band would just stop for a second then pick up right where they were supposed to in the new song Hilarious really.

He sang born to boogie Friday night too by the way.

 

That sounds like a familiar scenario.

 

I believe he was famous for it. At least he did that and didn't just not show up like George Jones used to do.

 

I don't know much about George, though I do like his music.

It's pretty muggy here today. I hope it rains and cools off a little.

 

He was famous back in the day for getting stone faced drunk and cancelling his concerts the night of. Hence some of the words in Hank's songs..particularly "All my rowdy friends have settled down" Google the words and read some of his songs Hanks), there's more but I can't remember right now.

Not to bad today, have a rain yesterday and cooled it down a little. Odd, usually it's worse after a rain because of the humidity.

 

Humidity here is @ 30%, which is 6 times normal. You can really feel the difference when you're used to it being 5%.
