i think that is bg's point, if you decide to pursue your dream to the fullest extent possible, it is attainable, but if you dont and just dream to dream, then it is a lie

 

Not everything is obtainable no matter how much effort you put into it. If you're 5 foot 10 you'll never be an NBA center no matter how good a basketball player you become. Goals have to be realistic to be achievable.

Dreaming for the pleasure of dreaming isn't a lie. It's just a form of personal amusement.

 

true, but you very well could play in the NBA, and possibly play a post up game at the guard position, i would venture a guess that there is nobody, who put in serious work to play in the NBA, that was 5'10" and planned on playing center, thats like dreaming to fly, if you seriously think you can you must have mental problems, but i think nearly anything is attainable through enough desire and persistence, granted you may ruin your life and relationships along the way, but attainable nonetheless

 

I think for something to be truly attainable it needs to be not merely possible but probable. Alot of things are possible, although that doesn't necessarily mean they're ever going to happen. But I agree that desire and persistence and determination increase your chances of succeeding at achieving your goal.
