Yeah it's not bad thanks...
Only pain on this is it wont me start convering from point i want the another program which i was using b4 VirtualDub does tho when it opens the wmv files it always sayz missing codec

 

Focus Writer is superb. It would be good if you could save in a variety of formats but it's excellent for switching off and just writing. It has a great little typewriter sound feature which is a nice touch too. Love it.

SOB i found a good little program to convert WMV to AVI http://www.appfree.net/wmv-to-avi-mpeg it's eazy to use i Used it five times now i gotta pay to have the full version damn tease........

 

Try anvsoft any video converter. I use it and its free.

My first time here, I can't believe I've never seen this listed before. I have been a C-net junkie for quite some time and use a few of these programs, such as AVG, constantly. Two programs that I use that aren't listed are Gom and Malwarebytes, both available at C-net. Gom is a media player and Malwarebytes is virus protection. I can't honestly say that they are the best programs for what they do, I use them because they work for me. I'm not a techie type of person so I look for programs that are both easy to understand and use. Oh yeah, I also use Debut for video capture, they have a free version and some other free software related to video capturing, it's available at C-net. River, Tai Pan, kudos on a great idea.

 

Can you repost hj split? My old computer crashed and need to install it on my new one.

UFRaw is worth a look too. According to the website "The Unidentified Flying Raw (UFRaw) is a utility to read and manipulate raw images from digital cameras. It can be used on its own or as a Gimp plug-in."

FastStone Image Viewer

Free for home users, has some nice features, and supports RAW formats. I use this in preference to the proprietary software that came with my camera (30 day trial version only, of course!).

Guess what: I made it!!




Downloads photos hosted in the most popular image hosts like ShareNXS, ImageBam, ImageVenue or ImageHeaven. Tested on Phun for a couple of months now. It's a BETA version and still has some glitches but does the job very well! Last sunday I was able to download all photos of Julianne Hough of the last year available here in about an hour - 2220 photos, 1.5 GB with a 12Mb internet connection - with no stress at all.

• Just copy the thread link and paste it directly on the application;
• Do it one thread at a time or as many as you want;
• Download up to 100 photos at the same time;
• Auto-tag the downloaded photos;
• Auto-arrange the destination folders;
• Auto-detect the destination folder;
• Add links to an "ignore list" (useful to ignore images from user signatures)
• And more still to come...

I made a few corrections on Mourao Image Grabber. I updated it to version 0.2.2.

The corrections were:

• Disable "Detect title" button when no job is selected;
• Implement function to rename image files;
• Fix the select destination folder button;
• Recreate options on the feedback form
