Font's are something we all love when we find a real cracker so why not share them. If you want, post your fonts here. Either post a file or link to the webpage where the font is ready for download and a thumb to show CB members what the font looks like.

Everyone can post and although it says thumb of the day it doesn't mean we need to post every day. Just post when you have a font you really like. And remember, creative is about sharing, not secrecy ;)

I have so many generic fonts that i have been trying to get rid of them all so i can keep the more interesting ones and i thought this might be a place to showcase fonts that are actually usable and interesting for sigs/creative art.

I'm the same, got a ton of crappy ones and can't be arsed to delete 'em. Apparently having too many can slow down a computer quite a lot too. I tend to just use the less fancy ones these days.

Birth of a Hero is a good one, but I think it's overused. I believe I saw it just the other day, even.

I've been trying to delete the ones I'll never use but it's taking ages. I should have been more carefull when installing them.

Actually, no need to install them, if you put the .ttf Files into

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts

    [C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts for Windows 7 Users]

you can use them in PS as if they were installed, even on the Fly if you want
to test out a new Font quickly without having to restart Photoshop...

They won't slow down your Pc and are IMHO easier to keep track of...

    Great Thread btw, Jamms.

Damn, the site and all the fonts on there look beautiful !

Wish i could afford some of them... But i guess it doesn't make much Sense if you're not gonna
    use them commercially...

Here's a collection of fonts used on the nameplates of NHL jerseys, both the new RBK Edge jerseys and the old CMM jerseys.

I'd include a preview, but there's 72 fonts in the archive. . .I'll make two assumptions here:
    (a) If you download these fonts, you have some idea what the one(s) you want look like, anyways
(b)If (a) proves false, I'll assume you know how to google "[NHL team] jersey back", and you can preview a specific font that way.

I am hoping to resurrect a few of these threads just because you can never have enough tools to be creative :)

So I have a question... what is the best way to find fonts? I mean like you see a logo, ad, etc and say wow great font... what would you do to go and try to find it? or find something similar?

I have a client looking for a redesign but loves his font... he only has old printed copies of the logo (its an old mom and pop company that grew pretty big)

Where would I start to find this? Google image search?

Why don't you scan it and post it, with the help of phunners you may be able to find the right font very soon. Site's like www.dafont.com gives you an example, you can even use the name of the logo
