    Hey Phun folks :hi:

    just got off the phone with my relatives in Japan. Thank God they're ok. Japan is pretty prepared for the tsunami warnings, they say.

    Still scary stuff... supposedly, the tsunamis created by this earthquake might have some minor effects where I live as well. :shock:

    Yeah... I mean, if the reports are true, the earthquake measured 8.9. That's more than 10 times stronger than the earthquake that hit SF back in '89. And that one knocked out a part of a bridge. :|

    Yeah... but sounds like Japan is pretty prepared. They're really worried about the Tsunamis that may hit the Philippines or Indonesia.

    Both - tho Hawaii has much more to be worried than the US West coast. From what I've heard, any waves affected by the tsunami that hit California would only be a 5 foot increase overall.

    Essen, any worries for you about relatives in Indonesia?

    Some reports on MSNBC say tsunami waves hitting Indonesia may get up to 5 meters high... that's a little scary.
