I did indeed copy and paste them from evil bible. But before i did i went to my king james and checked that they were are correct and in context. It doesn't matter where i got them from, they are in the christian bible. Anyone claiming to be a christian must adhere to them as the inspired word of god and any christian who does not adhere to them and carry ou gods strict instructions is not a christian and only pretending to be so in order to fit into the gang and not be picked on. Half christians are cowards. As least Islam and muslims have the strength to follow ALL of gods commands.

it's clear you don't know the meaning of the word context. you have to do a lot more than cross reference a handful of bible verses to understand the full context in which they are written. and you claim you did it in a record 26 minutes, what a fucking joke. instead of thinking on your own, you let an anti-christian website do your thinking for you.

you're not studying the bible, you're merely reading it and then letting someone else interpret it for you. are you even aware that the bible was written a very long time ago? the world was a much different place back then, just so you know. that and the fact that it's a translation of what was said leaves the door wide open for many interpretations, including the relevance of any parts of it. you're implying that all laws written in ancient times should be taken literally and apply in the modern world. that's stupid and lazy thinking.

so just to be sure i understand you correctly,

1) anyone who doesn't adhere to your strict interpretation of the entire bible is not a christian
2) you commend all muslims who kill in the name of their religion, including the 9/11 attackers, for having the strength and courage to kill innocent people
3) you proved i'm someone else based on evidence you don't have is that about right?

you make about as much sense as charlie sheen after a crack binge. and you have the tolerance of a hitler, all the while criticizing others for their intolerance and cruelty.

Just finished the first part, quite important stuff that he has to convey about the nature of the universe and consciousness. Looking forward to seeing the other parts.

 

The more and more we study consciousness, the more it is tying in with quantum reality and the holographic nature of existence. I think humanity is coming up on the verge of a breakthrough that will change our world, species and minds for the rest of time. The next step if you will.

I don't have issues with criticism at all. I am a big boy and now wear big boy underwear.

And i don't have "issues" with any sort of reality. I am simply learning, re-adjusting what i know and think as i go and will do so for the rest of my life. It's part of the scientific method.

And Glawker is an old flamer of phun forums who used to go by the name specbugman. He is well know and little liked. So i put him on my ignore list. If he is being abusive I wouldn't be surprised. But i can't see what he posts.

Last i say on the subject. This thread is for discussion of ideas, not people telling other who or what they are. Especially people who don't know the others.

What I posted earlier seems to be quite judgemental and harsh, my apologies Jamms. I must remember that you are exploring the different avenues and that you at least understand the reality that the concept of religion has irreconcilable flaws.

The idea of god is dead to me, I did not elaborate as it was my closing statement. I shall elaborate now to clear it up.

God exists only as an idea, that is the only way it exists. People use the idea of god as a tool to control others and even to control themselves. Some people do great positive things as religion believers, but most cause the decay of ignorance instead. As far as I see it, the only main reason people really believe in religion is because they are afraid of death. I can understand the fear of death, most if not all people really have it. Do we need to be corrupted into believing that the laws of reality are suspended for us if we believe in some god(s) that watches us and our loved ones suffer with indifference to ensure that we are meek, upon the promise that it might one day allow us to cash in our eternal life card, and if we mess up and pick the wrong god, are dead anyways so it doesn?t matter? It's a scam either way.

Thank you for pointing that out Billy, others might not have understood what I meant as well. I tend to think much faster than I can type, sometimes things get lost along the way.

Christopher Hitchens' remarks are right on the money. Very impressive. I completely agree with his methods, he is downright insulted by religion and it's contamination, as I am.

The David Icke vids are gone btw, I watched a few others and wow, that guy has a different spin on things! Some of his connections make sense, with a group of corruptors in the governments, the twin towers not happening as they said it did. All the alien and demon stuff is far fetched, but I can see how they can be used as examples of how a person could think of another as cannon fodder.

Ironically my nickname in high school was demon, coined when a few people saw a bully 350 pound linebacker attack me.

Anyways, the idea that we are to do as others say is rooted in our ideas of leadership. If someone tells me to do something that I think is not to my benefit, who is to determine the correct outcome? I think that in most cases, as an educated, rational adult I can make that decision.

I think I am a "natural leader" I do what makes sense for me and others. I want to have positive, win/win collaborations with myself and others, also with the earth as well. Sustainability and cooperation are key elements to overall prosperity. Richard Dawkins described this in his video "Nice guys finish first" even though I would never describe myself as a "nice guy" as I think that nice guys get fucked over because they give too much.

So my question is, how do you decide when you must ignore others' advice and do your own thing? In other words, when do you decide to think on your own?

I see the balance is selfishness, as in, my life to me is more important to me than yours, yet I will cooperate with you as long as you cooperate with me, my ethics, and my success. Yet if you try to fuck me over, I will cause you problems you are not able to "deal" with.

That is my succinct approximation of events.

Most of the random readers might agree that it is "easier" to do what others say, the issue that what is said is "right" or "wrong" is secondary to ensuring their own safety. I say grow some balls and take back the respect you have sacrificed for acceptance by never giving more than you can handle, EVER. Be who you are, have the guts to say what you think. I bet at least some of the time, you make a lot of damn sense.
