While this is a sticky i thought it would be a good idea to open the forum for suggestions on the next awards. I think things should be changed up and after a few years it will keep it fresh.

So if you have any ideas (about any aspect of it) post away.

 

Remove the 'you can vote for yourself' rule.

 

Maybe you should make a new thread "Phun Member Awards - The ideas thread" and ask it to become sticky

 

Change the catagories. While some are legit, others just tend to see people who have been here along time just voting out of habit for the same people. Given the fact it is such a small group of people, the same names will keep coming up. For example, and he wont mind me saying, irish-sid hasn't posted a cock or his gaping ass pic in close on two years.

There are other examples but everyone is so highly strung it would only start a row.

 

I agree.

What i did notice when counting (cold might have too) is that alot of times a member would vote the same as the person who had voted above them. I wondered whether folks were just seeing what others had voted for and used that.

I think there should be less awards too. Alot of the ballot was half done, maybe because it was alot for folks to go through.

What do you think about having less that three winners? maybe one or two? Or is three better fun?

 

Plus, what is the award for biggest spammer? Is that a compliment? Why not best contributer to General? I dont mean that as a slight, but one nominee may post pics etc, while another just talks etc.

Is there any difference between spammer, most friendly and so on?

 

Aye, it was meant to be a light hearted piss take of the member who spends the most time here. I guess it is redundant.

Last year it was said that there were only awards for models and celebs so i think we should award General, Creative, Models, Celebs and Videos. Videos is tricky as due to the influx of cash hosts we have loads of faceless members who only share to make cash and posters like tai and gearhead who put effort into their posts get buried.
