It was unproductive, fruitless and utterly pointless. So you know, the usual lately.

I think that's what I'm aiming for this weekend. I seem to be lacking in energy :?

 

My energy level is ok as far as that goes, it's my motivation that seems to be lacking. Or non-existent as the case may be. I need inspiration of a positive sort. Hope something unexpected and truly special happens soon. Would be nice for a change.

Well, I hope you don't go through that again. In my case I'm pretty fortunate to have the roommate I do. She doesn't care about rent or utilities. Her husband's death actually left her pretty well off financially, what with life insurance, his gov't pension and whatnot. She just askes that I contribute cash when I can (rent for our lot is an unbelievably low $300 per month), and otherwise just keep the house in order, which I do. I also cook and take care of the mutt. She works swing shift so she appreciates coming home to a house in order, and a prepared meal to boot. In a way, taking care of her basic needs has taken the place of what I used to do for my kid. It's all good.

I've known her 12 years now. Her hubby was one of my best friends here [in Vegas] 'til he died in July '09. I was living with the two of them at the time. He had throat cancer and I was helping her out with him. He died of unrelated heart complications (that was ironic) and I just stayed on. We're good friends, always have been.

They are hard to find. Unfortunately for awhile there mine were dropping like flies. I lost 4 close friends to illness over a 5 year period. All were in their 50's too. Strong and healthy and then suddenly, sick and dead. Freaked me out. I'm 47 now. I see someone 6 years older than me [with a similar lifestyle] kick the bucket, I was like WTF!
