    I took 4 years of Spanish, did very well, and thought I was so hot shit I could pick up German in junior college. Not so. Frau Blu:cher kept screaming at me. Tree! Tree! Arschloch! Tree! Arschloch!!! :D

    Whatever the German word for "tree" was, she screamed it. She screamed everything.
    I Lived in Heidelberg for 8 years, but don't remember much of it, other than visiting England's Buckingham palace and falling in a pool when I was 3.

    What threw me off, I think, was that in Spanish, you have masculine and feminine nouns. In German you have m. and f. nouns, and some other nouns are all dressed up in spandex crotchless hose with Uberhats and a cigar. Tough act to follow.
