Ended up making two entries.

 

mine is also sent in now... I almost always make more than one..(except this time).

don't know if we are limited to just one entry or not but if we are, maybe we should allow more than one.

 

in the past you've always been able to submit as many as you like up to deadline but you have to state which one you want to use as you update them. as a general rule the last one you submit would be used unless you pm'd to say you wanted to change back to an earlier one

 

I meant more than one entry to be in the competition.. though it may be unfair if say one send in 20 sigs and another only managed to make one. highly unlikely that that one would win...

 

No TheOne, that is ridiculous. One final entry per person is all that is required. No fancy ideas please!!

Well 2 entries per person on a slow week would be an option, maybe if the sig maker tells GBTG that he has 2 sigs to enter and GBTG wants to use them both for poll. Lets say this week all had 2 sigs made then poll would have 8 sigs.

 

I don't know if it's a good to idea because then that person has twice the chance of getting votes!
And that's not really cool to "stack the odds" in someone's favor.
Even if it IS to boost the entries!

SOTW just seems to be dying a slow death anymore.
I mean there's only 4 entries and since last night there's only been 14 votes, and 2 comments in the Voting Thread.

If people want changes to it then the need to speak up, I tried changing it and got told to keep it the same because more people liked it better this way. Yet there's quite a few people that took part in that discussion that have yet to send me a single sig during any of these weeks, I mean it's member participation that keeps this thing alive and right now I'm just not feeling it frankly.
I'd be entering a sig every week myself but I just don't have the time, hell I have a hard enough time getting on here at 9PM on Thursdays and Sundays to manage this thing!

 

I'm just taking a little break, i did enter quite some SOTW's. Now i just need a little break.

That's right, it's happening again. SOTW will further be postponed until (well to be blunt) I feel like opening it again.

It's just that participation has CLEARLY dropped off altogether, and while I commend and greatly appreciate the members who have consistently submitted a sig each week, I just don't think 4 sigs per week cuts it even as a competition. It's stopped being as interesting and maybe it's just because we've had almost 80 of these things, but personally I don't think so. It's because the CB has been fucking dead the past month or more, I mean there's still the odd post but there hasn't been a battle in ages, and even the updates in the sig threads themselves is getting few and far between. Clearly people have either gotten bored with it all or gotten really busy with more important things. And believe me, I'm not saying that in a condescending way whatsoever, frankly I've even lost some interest in Phun myself but it's only because my personal life has kicked into overdrive, so between relationships, friends and 7 day work weeks I just don't have the time anymore to make sigs like I used to.

I did some math in regards to the recent SOTW polls in comparison to this weeks poll:

SOTW 71 - 57 Votes - 6 Sigs - 22 Comments
SOTW 73 - 21 Votes - 4 Sigs - 5 Comments

That means this week (for some reason) there was 36 less votes, 2 less sigs and 17 less comments!

I'm sure some people are gonna be crying the blues that SOTW isn't here anymore, but it seems that these comments only come about when it's been postponed. Maybe there's some merit to that old "you don't know what you've got until it's gone" saying!? lol So again, it's not that this is the end of SOTW, but frankly I just don't feel as good about doing it as I used to. It feels like I'm flogging a dead horse trying to keep this thing alive every week, and if it's changes that need to be made then I'm all ears.

GBTG...........I hear your pain and share your sorrow........Now that I am working........I just don't have the time to play around in Phun as much as I used to.........Not to mention.......you and other's have stepped up your sig quality beyond my current abilities...My stuff just can't compete.......... And Most of the recent themes are not of interest to me.........Watchmen, soviet union, insects, resident evil...... YAWN.........None of these inspire me......If and when you decide to re-up this thread..........can we just get back to good ole tits and ass..............Freestyle should not be an option.......For a theme.......name something everyone likes............

I can understand, GB. Myself I haven't touched Photoshop for about a month (besides making my entry for this SOTW) since my finals and right now I just want to spend my remaining summer "vacation" cooling off before my new semester kicks in next week. *sigh*

As for the low participation in SOTWs or in general (babe sigs, requests...) for the past weeks, I always said that it was probably due to summer so people were off vacationing and activity will resume when fall arrives. I don't know how well the CB was active last summer so if it isn't due to vacation/time off then it must be due to certain obligations... or worst case scenario: loss of interest.

And let's not forget, Phun is foremost a porn forum so to have a dozen artistic members that regularly participate is a rare gem. Be it 4 participations only or 15 in a SOTW, it doesn't matter. If we're looking for at least 10 entries for each SOTW, new sigs everyday or even daily sig request fills then we're at the wrong forum.
