    Nothing worse than sending someone an e-mail, telling them to send me all the info or whatever by return e-mail and then 5 minutes after the e-mail is sent, the phone rings and it's the peson you just e-mailed :mad:

    FAR from slow but it is neverending. As new medical technology comes out so does new systems to support it. Nothing is on paper/films anymore, it's all electronic. You even have to jump through hoops to get printed medical records now, they burn them on cd or dvd instead.

    nooo, you're looking at it wrong. With it on an email you have proof you are doing your job. When someone starts bitching saying you're not doing it all you have to do is forward the email trail to your boss. There's no denying that. ;) Plus I have at least 15 - 20 things going on all the time, if it's in a work queue or email I can look at all of them and prioritize.

    Whoever you're talking about is FAR behind the times. It takes minutes to find any chart here. All the forms in the system are tagged with the pat's medical record # and account #, they then interface to our medical record system. If it's an old chart, still no problem. All of those have been manually scanned in and tagged with the same info so when you search for that # it comes up.
