cheers, i like it a lot, all the layers worked nicely together, quite a bit of smuding on the lower layers as well to smooth it out, particularly on the left hand side

 

The colors are brilliant as is the lighting. The different sized text works really well too. Overall an A+ sig!

 

to be honest i struggled with the text at first so i cut it down to BILLY, and finished it, but i didn't think it looked right, so i checked how my layers worked and realised i could add the rest in easily, but didn't want to move the billy so shrunk the sastard to make it fit

 

i've noticed that altering the light on text works wonders as well. it can be a nightmare getting text to fit nicely and not ruin a sig, plain text just looks too flat, so incorporating it within the textures really helps, and having gradients from light to dark really makes it stand out. the sigs you and i are using now do the same and it does help a lot

 

I know exactly what you mean, that's something I do all the time now as well. Even if there isn't much light reflecting ontop of it I'll add even a subtle grey to white text. I never use gradients though myself, I just create a new layer ontop of it with a soft low opacity black brush, or a light grey set to linear dodge.

Not sure what the hell I think of this, but I'll post it for the sake of feedback! :|

 

It's nicely done GBTG. I think you want some comments on text and deco. The compo is good of course. I think the "phun org" is blurry but "KAOS" is sharp edged, IDK those come from you font setting (smooth, sharp, etc) or by later sharpen filter.

The text chunk below is OK, just they look blurry, when use tech brushes, just *always* use the original brush size, they're designed to be sharp only at this size. This applies to some bitmap fonts, they only look good at 8pt/10pt without anti aliasing. KIU!

Something that might be against phun's design culture: try avoid FHS (floating head syndrome), you can google it and see it talked in many other design forums.
