There's always a better car, house, apartment, computer, wife, husband, man, woman ...... But there really isn't. When you get to the other side, the grass on the side you vacated looks greener.

 

I started at what might be called the bottom. I worked my way up (or down depending on your perspective). I did most all of the various jobs and those I did not do I did similar jobs. I saw the lack of human respect shown and the demeaning treatment that "bosses" committed and I hated it. I had almost 200 employees ranging from custodial workers to professional engineers. I know virtually all of them on a first name basis and a bit of their personal lives. While I wanted them to go through channels, I always had an open door if they felt they had unresolved issues. Bosses have a hard job, sometime must make hard decisions, but there is no excuse for not treating all people with respect.....even if you have to terminate them jfor cause. I fired one man who after his termination hearing with me, he apologized for putting me in the position where I had no choice but to fire him. I have no use for bad bosses.
