    Cool. that is not a put down. I have had little and plentiful space; I prefer only enough space to meet my needs - highly efficient use of floor and wall space. Example: ten foot ceiling so that I can place the windows in the top 2 to 2.5 feet thereby leaving all of the walls for shelves, cabinets, counters, etc. I have plans to build my next bed frame so that the space under the air bed is pull/roll out drawers. I am a fanatic about using all space, but not being cramped either. I don't like open shelves....prefer shelves with doors as this is easier to maintain - open shelves require meticulous dusting, etc. No! design from minimum maintenance needs! more time to play! :D

    Ours were always gerber babyfood or smuckers jars. Always had empties waiting from Mom. I can certainly relate to the cleaning up part though. Always cleaned up at the end of the day. Nothing left out. Things could be left in the vice or in clamps, but all tools put away in their places. Thats why stuff always worked and tools lasted from generation to generation. And why I fix my own plumbing and electricals today.
