Hmmm, your dad and mine were cut from the same mold.....and I save a great deal of money in my younger days fixing household things myself instead of calling plumbers, electricians, taking engines to mechanics and on and on. I have put additions on homes, done major renovations to very old houses, all at a fraction of the cost of contracting it out. Thanks Dad!

I remember I was attempting to screw the jar back onto the nailed lid and I dropped it. It broke. What ever was in the jar was all over the place. I was about 8 at the time. My dad, in a very normal calm tone said, son, be careful you don't cut your self on the glass as your are cleaning this up. Make sure you get all of the part picked up and use the magnet to get behind the shelfs and under the lower counters. Also, you will need to start tomorrow after school and go around the neighborhood checking trash piles until you fine a replacement jar that fits the lid.......all of this is a lot of work and will take you a good bit of time.........maybe next time you will be more careful putting thing away.

I don't hardly touch my 4-wheel vehicle anymore. I did up until about 2000 as I had a 1975 dodge commercial van and could work on it. Now, I can't even find the f'ing spark plugs! And I have rebuilt car engines before for christ sake! I do most every thing on my Harley thought. :wink:
