Same here, today's the last day till Monday. They're making everyone take 3 days here, f'in economy.

 

Well, at least you get to relax.

I'll be heading to bed in a few minutes. I'm just browsing a little and hanging out.

 

I work tomorrow and the 24th(thou it'll probably be a short day)

 

I'm VERY happy with the time, only problem is i'm very low on vacation time. I'm worried if they make me do it again next week I won't have enough time to cover. How many days are you getting?

 

Bama, you are using vacation to cover the short week? that sucks!!!

 

That's all we get is vacation time. Because it's a hospital there's no such thing as holiday pay. They give us 6 extra days in lieu of the holidays.

 

They lock vacation days for the last 3 weeks in December and the first week in January -- the holidays are 400% busier than any other time. So, I've used all but 2 days of vacation this year already, for my knee and when Blaze had that cancer surgery on her leg. So, the answer is: No days.

 

I could imagine yes, it's the busiest time by far. Sucks you have no time How's the knee been holding up?

 

I get 10 days vacation a year, plus i think it's 6 holiday days ie newyears, xmas, etc..
but on salary so i can adjust my hours to fit work sometimes.

 

10 days here till your here for 10 years, then 1 day a year for the next 5 till you max at 15 days. Then like you the 6 is added on. I've been here 16 years so I get the 3 weeks. And i'm on hourly, and hope to always stay that way. I get called in a lot after hours. The OT is nice!

 

we jump to 15 days at 15 years, I am at 13 now. I get called in a lot after hours also, they have even sent the company jet to get me during vacation once, that sucks but some days I can say... "it's slow so I'm leaving early" and that sort of makes up for it.
