and kids in your neighborhood don't know how to trick-or-treat efficiently then...

trick or treating in a condo complex or apartments are THE quickest way to get pounds and pounds of candy.

What other place has 10 separate housing units in a 20 square yard area?

And what's even greater is that usually, the people that live there are single or are separated and have parties to go to so they leave all their candy out in front of their door in a bowl with a note saying "only take one." I used to dump the whole bowl in my bag

 

Last year a little fucker egged my window.

 

either leave candy outside or just turn all the lights off in the front of your house. The latter option works if the kids aren't stupid.

or you can just leave a HUGE bowl w/o candy with a note saying "only take one" to make it seem like people took all your candy already.

Yeah, that's what I usually do. It's annoying how much it's taken off here in the UK over the last few years. It used to be a nothing event when I was younger.

parents are too paranoid to let their kids out now so there's rarely any kids that go trick or treating anymore in the US. And the ones that do go before it gets dark.

Pretty much, if kids don't come by 7, they're not coming at all.

That's interesting because over here they don't seem to stop until about 9:30. I ran out of sweets last year and that's when they egged my flat.

It depends on the neighborhood here. Sometimes they're out pretty late.
