I took Leo to the emergency vet. He had blood coming out the back. He has 2 simultaneous, non-related things. Long story short, there are 2 prescriptions and a special diet and time.

 

that sucks!

I picked him up on the Oklahoma turnpike last August. I was cruising up 69 in the rv and saw this thing dodging traffic. Looked like a rat or muskrat. When I got closer I could see it was a kitten. So I said, if it's still alive by the time I can get pulled over I'll pick it up.
He was ok, but mostly starved and scared to death. I put him on a meat scale later and he was a little over 4 ounces. Not much fur, about 7-8 inches long. So, I wandered up and down the highway for a while to see if I could find his mama, or road kill or something.Not a thing for 2-3 miles in either direction. I stopped at the next town to get him some milk (which he didnt want) and met an old lady who said she'd seen him and had left water out for him. Well, he's been with me ever since. He's now 17 pounds and stretched out nose to butt, no tail, he's about 47 inches long. Since the first thing he did was sink all 4 sets of claws into my chest right under my chin, I named him "Sharpclaw" but I just call him "Sharpy". When I took him to the vet a couple of days after picking him up, she said he was about 3 weeks old. He's never drunk a drop of milk since I've had him, but that first day he did buzzsaw his way thru a chicken breast. He's my buddy now, and travels with me everywhere.
