The thing is, he still shot a 65 -- better than anybody on the leader board. I know you're not a fan of his 'cause of swearing and stuff, bama, (and I think he has to work on that, too -- not good behavior), but we're witnessing one of the greatest athletes ever in our lifetime, which is cool.

 

i usually hover around 90, sometimes a little under, my putting leave a lot to be desire though

No, I really enjoy watching him - he's a legend that we're getting the pleasure of being able to watch. I never said I wasn't a fan - I am. He's just not my favorite player on tour because like you said - he really needs to watch his language. You know how I feel about that - but as a player, how can you not respect him?

 

I'm a good driver and a good putter. Everything in between is my problem. You'd think that by playing my 2nd shot from the fairway, I'd be good. But I just never went the range to practice my irons.

 

I've never seen anything like him on the greens under pressure. Palmer and Nicklaus were as good on pressure putts, I think.

 

There's nothing at all wrong with that! I stay around that till summer time comes around usually - then I practice a little more and get a little lower. You cant score good in golf unless you work at it - you know that.

Played 27 - 1st 9 - +8, 2nd 9 - -1, 3rd 9 - Unusal to say the least for the last 2 9's

 

ADD-ON: I still can't figure out how Palmer and Nicklaus putted so well with those funky Acushnet putters.

Golf is a funny game - you have to work at it constantly to expect to get good. I guess the challange of it is why I love it so much.

I never really seen Palmer play in his prime but I did see Jack....it's really hard to say which one is best under pressure - if I had to say right now I think i'd have to say Tiger. He really is unbelievable!

Any time I had to practice something it was drums. Hours a day. Which allowed me to go pro. Practice makes perfect.

 

What was key to your scoring today? 8-foot putts or what?
