Ah the American version of Man about the House

 

Ahh yes!!, that just went over my head the first time I read it, plus I haven't see the show in ages, I probably should get it sometime.

 

Gwynd - Man about the house? What is that? Three's Company before Three's Company?

 

I think I've heard of Man About The House, but I don't think it was anything like Three's Company, was it?

Three's Company was based on the British sitcom "Man about the House"

 

I didn't know that.

 

In the British one Jack Tripper (John Ritter IIRC) was called Robin Tripp, hence I didn't recognise the reference at first, wasn't there a lovely blonde in th US version?

We used to have Three's Company, Throb and Married with Children on the late night weekend slot during the early nighties in Britain, I'm going to feel old and start reminiscing about Sledge Hammer and Prisoner Cell Block H now.
