    Switching between RGB and LAB in the same psd file will indeed delete the adjustment layer ... this is because they're 2 different color spaces.
    While RGB works with 3 color channels (red,green,blue) and each combines lightness and color (tone),
    the LAB splits tone(color) and lightness in 3 channels:[​IMG] L(lightness), a(red to green) and b(yellow to blue).

    So the hue/saturation adjustment layer works different in LAB.
    To prevent PS to loose your adjustment you'll need to stamp in a new layer before switching back to RGB mode (press and hold Ctrl-Alt-Shift and then press E);
    a new layer will appear above the adj. layer and then you can switch.

    I'm not going to get more into detail on this (I'll do so in a new thread working from your original) 'cause some might argue this is a display thread and not a discussion thread and I don't want to bore them with info they don't care for ...
    so just give me some time and I'll post some more in depth info on this. ;)

    I really like this one.

    Vibrant colors have been used in this thread mostly. But the faded blue of the shirt really looks cool with the composition of the picture and the black & white. Very nice!

    I can't say that I mind the tanlines myself either. it's like they say that what you are seeing is something not shown to just about anyone..
