It was lovely. Stayed a few days in a farm house in Normandy and two in Paris. It's not really new to me TBH, I've been to France hundreds of times but it was a first for my girlfriend.

It depends. I speak a bit of French so I've never really had a problem. If you respect the French then I find it's reciprocated. We have a horrible binge drinking problem in the UK and the French despise the Brits who come over and behave like idiots, but then I cringe at that myself.

Also, I was pleased to hear last year that Leno was leaving the tonight show. Now I am pissed that I have to listen to him earlier every night. I guess getting the good (Conan) comes with the bad (Leno)

Yea, I took 2 high school years and 2 college semesters of French so I think I could get by verbally. I do drink a lot, but I'm the guy you can't tell is drunk, but if you were in my head you'd be swimming in either vodka or gin. I think I'd be cool.
