    I may have figured out some things...but still cant do the basic things like paint and crop on straight lines that i want and not fixed shapes...:confused:

    In PS..Do the same as described before....(Make a second layer and desaturate it and add a layer mask) but fill the layer mask with black...(with the layer mask box active...edit fill... black )The image will go back to color... Then paint with the white brush to reveal the black and white...

    Although...i have no clue what you said...i will try this step by step...thanks!

    This is what i do...
    I open a pic...i add a NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER-CHANNEL MIXER...i choose monochrome in its adjustment...and then i use the eraser to reveal the color...
    Now...what do i do to make something that i have revealed into b/w?

    I don't use the eraser to reveal the color, I use a 100% opacity black brush in the layer mask. To make it back into B&W use a pure white brush.
